A few things happening this month worth knowing about.
We will be at ICSC Las Vegas in just under two weeks. Come find us at Booth #51PT in the new PropTech section of Central Hall. It is a good time to connect, and we have a lot to show. If you would like to schedule time ahead of the show, you can book a meeting below.
We launched View Pro, a more advanced data layer built on top of Resimplifi's core platform, designed for CRE professionals who need real estate analytics, demographic data, and custom map layers in a single workflow.
This issue also looks at a problem that rarely appears on anyone's budget but shows up everywhere in the work: the cost of inaccurate listing data, and what it's actually doing to deal flow, staff time, and market credibility. We have written a full breakdown, and the short version is in the Data Point below.
As always, thanks for reading.
The Data Point
The Bad Data Tax: What Inaccurate Listings Actually Cost You
Most organizations working with CRE data are paying an uncalculated and unnamed cost. It shows up in staff hours that disappear into correction and verification tasks, in transactions that dissolve before anyone logs them, and in broker and site selector relationships that quietly fade.
Gartner puts the average annual cost of poor data quality at $12.9 million per organization. The broader U.S. economy loses an estimated $3.1 trillion a year to bad data. In CRE specifically, the consequences compound in ways that are hard to see until they have already done damage.
A broker who walks a client to an unavailable property does not file a complaint; they move on, and so does their business. A site selector who cannot verify a critical spec will not ask for clarification; they eliminate the market and continue the search.
The absence of that inquiry looks no different from a slow pipeline, which is exactly why the bad data tax is so difficult to budget for and so easy to underestimate.
